Addictions Nursing Certification. The Addictions Nursing Certification Board offers voluntary certification to qualified nurses who specialize in the treatment and care of patients with substance and behavioral addictions (ANCB). There are two levels of certification available, and nurses may qualify for either one.
A certification results in the ability to work as a registered nurse. Depending on the certification you obtain, you can provide neonatal, pediatric, or adult care.
